Everything in CrossFit is about reps. 20 clean & jerks followed by 10 box-jumps topped off with 30 sit-ups, then repeat five times and compete for time. Think about the counting, the counting down, the mental division of large quantities of reps into small, more manageable-seeming blocks.

There are around 15,000 CrossFit-affiliated gyms around the world, making it incredibly travel-friendly. Most CrossFit boxes allow visitors to "drop-in" - you'll pay a fee to work out (usually between $10 and $20) and maybe walk away with a free t-shirt from that gym. Many boxes will waive the drop-in fee if you buy a t-shirt.

To accomplish what you want, training needs to be a priority. You can't dedicate half of your time. Whenever you're not working or at school, you better be in the gym. This may mean a significant loss in your social life. Can you handle the volume of training required? To you, CrossFit is no longer for fitness. It is a sport.
